Did you know that 80% of the students in our Yogasite Teacher Training do not start off with the motivation of becoming a yoga teacher?
Ellen: "Exactly 13 years ago I started my Teacher Training at Yogasite. My struggles with an unfulfilled desire to have children, confronted me with deeper questions: what is the meaning of my life, who am I, and what am I doing here? I had no drive to teach yoga, let alone run a yoga studio. Yet the yoga classes I took continuously kept giving me a deep sense of 'coming home'. This sparked my curiosity, what was it that made me feel so at home on the yoga mat? And during this phase of my life I also yearned to nurture and to inspire myself. Things clicked into place from the moment I allowed myself to embark on this 'teacher training' adventure, and ever since my life's path is unfolding naturally. Teaching actually is a logical extension of the intense gratitude I feel for the insights, growth, joy, and connection I encounter on my path."
This example wonderfully illustrates the depth and width of what a Yoga Teacher Training really is. It greatly surpasses just learning the art of teaching yoga. Moreover, it is a journey inward, a journey to come home to your true self. An adventure to discover the essence of life. Your life. Did you know that 80% of the students in our Yogasite Teacher Training do not start off with the motivation of becoming a yoga teacher? Most of them start with that urge of finding the deeper meaning of life and seeking the sense of belonging.
Maybe you recognize a curiosity about "the secret" of yoga in yourself. Maybe you experience the pressure of our contemporary society and feel stuck. Wanting things to be different for yourself.
