Receiving a massage is just a really nice thing!

Besides that, it also addresses the important basic human need to be touched.

There aren't a lot of things in life that are absolutely necessary, but touch is definitely part of it. We are relationship creatures and have an undeniable need for contact and touch. For example; scientific studies have shown that a baby won't survive without physical contact, even though they receive enough nutrition.

The older and stronger we get, and throughout our upbringing, we develop an unimaginable capability to adjust to circumstances. This is an incredible power. At the same time, it's also a downfall. Being able to adjust causes us to close off to things we really need to live a healthy life. More and more you see that it's making us sick, that the way we live our lives is unhealthy. We alienate ourselves from our true nature, from our basic human needs which causes an exponential growth of culturally related diseases.

Massage isn't a cure. If it's used to fight off disease, like it's done in traditional Western medicine, massage doesn't score very high. It does reduce complaints like back- and headaches, chronic fatigue, stress, fears, depression, burn-out... but it doesn't offer a firm answer to fix the health problems we face.

Getting a massage on a regular basis IS very much advisable as a preventive health measure. If we become more aware of the need for a healthier life style, and we start looking for more means to connect us to ourselves and our needs, getting a massage on a regular basis is a must!

Integrative massage is an extraordinary relaxation massage with a strong healing effect. Besides focussing on over all relaxation of body and mind, it also stimulates the self-healing capacity of the human body.

Integrative massage combines three different types of massages into one, and focusses on letting us feel whole again, to improve the integration of our physical, mental and emotional body.
